It makes sense to stop smoking now.
Ask yourself: Why do I smoke? For most people there is no real reason. Most people smoke simply because they got in the habit of smoking.

It makes no sense! We are at the top of the food chain. We are supposed to be the smartest species on the planet. Yet we do some very dumb things. We know what happens when we smoke. We are not clueless. Here is a breakdown of what could happen, and what eventually does happen.
Negative effects of Smoking :
1. Smoking cigarettes costs you money $.2. Smoking stains your teeth and helps tar build up.
3. Smoking makes you stink. To non-smokers it is a very unpleasant odor.
4. Smoking makes you lazy. It wears you down and slows down your brain activity. It takes you longer to think when you smoke.
5. Smoking causes health problems. Constipation, Cancer, insomnia, coughing, fatigue , depression , and more. It damages most of your organs and diminishes your overall health.
There are many more nasty effects of smoking. Smoking is a bad habit. But bad habits can be broken and replaced with good habits. And now for what happens when we stop smoking :
Positive effects of not smoking :

1. You will smell better.
2. You will have whiter teeth.
3. You will have more money by not wasting it on cigarettes.
4. You will have more oxygen and better circulation making you feel more alert and alive. And in turn you will also have improved brain function.
5. You will help prevent health issues later like mouth cancer, lung cancer, and strokes just to name a few.
When you think about it for a minute, it makes sense not to smoke.
Here are some ways we can stop smoking :
1. Remember often that you want to stop. When done repeatedly , you will form the habit of thinking to yourself "NO smoking"!
2. Exercise. Most cravings come after you eat, are feeling lazy, or feel stressed and depressed. Almost no one wants a cigarette during or after exercise. Exercise will get oxygen in your lungs and into your brain, giving you the "I feel better- more alert" feeling and also helps with stress, laziness, and depression.
3. Chew a piece of gum or candy. Candy, gum, or sweets will make you hyper. Most parents know this. Increasing your oxygen intake reduce your cravings.
4. Try to avoid others smokers. When you see someone smoking, it subconsciously makes you want to smoke as well. Try to surround yourself by non-smokers.
5. Try to avoid gambling, drinking, or other habits that make you want to smoke.
6. You can also try acupuncture, meditation, or medicine to help you stop gradually.
There is not one good thing about smoking when you really think about it. Improve your quality of life, be more alert, feel better, feel smarter, look and smell great, or to help prevent disease - Stop smoking today. Good luck.
